Haldex Gen 5

Real all-wheel drive, not just after the front wheels have already spun.

The factory Haldex is built to save fuel and protect the clutch, not for performance. It sends almost all the torque to the front and only passes some to the rear once it detects the front wheels are already spinning. The result is a car that understeers in corners, loses traction at launch and wastes the power of an engine tune.

Our tune fully replaces the module's factory software and changes that logic: the Haldex anticipates and splits torque from the very first moment.

What changes in the car

• A much more balanced split under acceleration: more torque to the rear from the start, not only when there's wheelspin.
• Faster response: torque reaches the rear before the front wheels lose grip.
• No cutback at speed: all-wheel drive keeps working at high speed, where the factory software reduces it.
• Stronger launches: our own launch strategy to leave with all four wheels pushing.
• Better cornering balance: less understeer and cleaner corner exits, using all the power.
• Less wear on the Haldex clutch, since it slips less.

Advanced Mode — exclusive to AXV

What no other Haldex tune lets you do from your phone: adjust it in real time, with the engine running.

FWD or AWD with one tap

Switch to front-wheel drive to heat the tires or do a burnout before a drag run, then back to AWD to launch with full traction. No need for the car's drive mode selector or extra tools: one button in the AXV App.

Adjustable maximum lock

You decide how much torque the Haldex can send to the rear axle, from your phone and instantly, to suit the track, the rain or the drag strip.

Our own 25 Hz High Speed Logger

Logs what the Haldex does up to 25 times per second: the pump, the lock and the torque split. See in detail how it splits torque on every launch and every corner, and compare it with the engine datalog.

One ecosystem: engine, gearbox and drivetrain

With the same AXV OBD2 and the AXV App for Android and iOS you tune and adjust the ECU, the DSG gearbox and the Haldex. No separate flashing tools, no laptop.

• Installed through OBD from the app, nothing to remove.
• Compatible with any engine and gearbox tune.
• Reversible: the module's original file can be flashed back through OBD whenever you want.
