Everything you need to know about the AXV OBD2
Will the OBD2 work with my vehicle?
The AXV OBD2 is compatible with VAG vehicles (Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, Škoda) equipped with Simos 18.x ECUs, plus DQ250, DQ381, and DQ500 DSG transmissions. To verify your model, reach out through our contact page with your vehicle details and/or software version.
Do I need a laptop or PC?
No. Everything runs from your iPhone or Android — no drivers or installers required.
Is it safe to flash from home?
Yes, completely. The system includes multiple safety layers: checksum verification before and after flashing, automatic recovery on interruption or data loss, and automatic speed and transfer adjustments. We also always keep a backup of your original file.
What happens if the flash is interrupted?
The AXV OBD2 has a built-in recovery system. If the Bluetooth connection weakens, the vehicle sends a wait signal, or a slower write is needed, the app and the OBD2 adapt automatically. Together, they keep any risk to a minimum.
Can I revert to the stock map?
Yes. We always save a copy of your original file before the first flash. You can restore it anytime from the app.
Do I need to buy a tune separately?
Yes, the AXV OBD2 is the hardware that enables flashing. Tunes are purchased separately based on your vehicle and the stage you want. It only works with AXV tunes.
Is the device locked to one car?
No. The AXV OBD2 isn't tied to a VIN, but you need it to use all of your vehicle's advanced features. That's why we recommend one per person: if you own more than one vehicle, you can use it on all of them.
How long does shipping take?
3–4 days in Colombia · 5–10 days worldwide, subject to customs delays. Ships on Wednesdays via FedEx.
